Pros and cons of French in a Month: Vocabulary app for iPhone and iPad

French in a Month: Vocabulary app good for

Excellent value and highly functional. Does 75% of Rosetta stone functionality (theres no speaking practice) but costs 1/100th the price. Enough said.
It is a well structured French course with numerous sentences and scenes that help to speed up in learning the basics of the language.
This program is hands down the best French learning app I have found. It is not boring repetition with flash cards. It utilizes photos, text, and male and female audio of the words for very quick learning. It is similar to Rosetta Stone but portable. There is a free version to try before you buy. The full version has 30 lessons. Hopefully there will be updates with new lessons.
Im a beginner and ive learned alot from this. Its great for learning vocabulary. Im also using Pimsleurs so combining both of these really helps.
Ive tried many different French programs, and this one is one of the best ones out there! Its similar to Rosetta Stone and can be used offline too! The learning is close to how children first learn languages, by relating to the pictures and repetition. Im keeping this app handy now and am studying fast! I cant wait to speak like a native speaker!

Some bad moments

You try the FREE version and think that the full one will have more features and help you study better. But once you get the full version you realize there are no extra features or courses. Completely disappointed!! You can learn a bit but definitelly not the language with this app.
The App stopped working since the last update .توقف عن العمل funktioniert nicht mehr . Non funziona .
Id give this program a higher rating if there were several improvements. First, I will say that you will learn basics - I am only up to lesson 4 - but the controls are terrible. Second, if I did not know some French prior to this, I am not sure I would have done as well. Third, not all the photos and vocabulary are intuitive. Last, you cannot exit, pause, or do anything once you are in the lessons. You have to exit from the program. It is just horrible to use - not friendly at all.
